Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris - until she meets Etienne St. Clair: perfect, Parisian (and English and American, which makes for a swoon-worthy accent), and utterly irresistible. The only problem is that he's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her almost-relationship back home
I haven't read chick-lit in what feels like such a long time! I usually have my nose stuck in something paranormal-or-other, so it was a nice change. Anna is an amazing, funny, easy-to-love character. Actually, this book reminded me a lot of what I love in most of Meg Cabot's books. I liked it so much that I ended up reading it in just a few hours, I was so absorbed into the story. There were a lot of things that Anna said or did, that I had done, said, or felt like when I was a teenager.
At first, I really liked Toph (that's his name right?? her almost-bf from back home? lol), but then I reeeaallyy started to like St. Claire! He's so adorable, how can you not like him, even just a little? I love how Anna would pretty much rather die than go to Paris for boarding school, but in the end, she totally loves it. Between her new friends, St. Claire, an amazing city, and all the movie theaters she could wish for.
This book was so fun and enjoyable to read, I didn't once find myself tired of reading blah blah blah, about sick puppy love, etc. It's a very simple, but awesome read. I also really liked how the characters were so relateable, like they were based on real people. I would highly recommend this to everyone, especially Meg Cabot fans. You will not be disappointed!
