What It's About!
Your heart misleads you.
That's what my friends and family say.  But I love Noah. And he loves me.
We met and fell in love in the sleepy farming community of Meadowview, while we rode our horses together through the grassy fields and in those moments in each other's arms. It should be  ROSE & NOAH  forever, easy. But it won't be.
Because he's Amish. And I'm not.

Review

I love the idea of Temptation. It's about a regular girl and an Amish boy, and of course they're forbidden to be together, for Amish people are very close-knit in their community, and cannot date or "court" outside, regular people. This book had so much potential and a really good story line, but it didn't quit meet that potential. The characters, especially the two main ones, Rose and Noah, were very realistic and believable. So was the story. However, the main and only point of the whole book is Rose and Noah's forbidden love and fascination with each other.

I really enjoyed reading Temptation until about the middle of the book when I realized the story didn't feel like it was moving forward. I think this book could have been so amazing if it had other elements weaved into the story aside from Rose and Noah, and then have it all come together at the end, then have something bigger that leads to the next novel in the series. The novel started out so good but eventually, the concept got old and boring and just could not hold my interest for more than 10-15 mins at a time before I had to take a break from reading.

I DID like the relationship between Rose and Noah and the insight I got to see through Noah's eyes about how the Amish work. They are very strict in their rules and beliefs. I love watching some of the Amish shows that have been on tv lately so I was really excited when I got the chance to read Temptation. Unfortunately, the tv shows won out over the book. I'm not saying the book was horrible, I just think it didn't meet its full potential, and could have been a little better. It's definitely a good read if you like the slower books full of infatuation and some romance.
