Tips & Tricks: Adding Slideshows/Blog Rolls

So to start off the new Tips & Tricks page, I thought I'd start with how to add a slideshow. I know to a lot of you it's extremely simple, but not all of us have a million hours to spend trying to figure this stuff out, and a lot of the tutorials on google are outdated and annoying. So I thought I'd give you the most simple, quickest way to add a slide show and/or blog roll (they're the same, but whatever you wanna call it).

1. Go to www.photobucket.com

2. Once you are signed in, find the blue tabs bar near the top. Under where it says Home|Albums|Explore|Upload, you should see Tools at the very end of the tabs list, then click it.

3.  Scroll down to the row labeled Creation Tools then click on Slideshow

4. It then takes you to a page where you can create your slideshow and add whatever pictures you want. After you're done, hit the Save Slideshow button (right under the slideshow preview).

Now your done! :) Easy, right? Sadly it took me about 2 hours trying to figure out how those other bloggers with their book stip slideshows got them..but hey, not everybody is a computer genius! (Congrats if you are ;) )

When posting the slideshow to your blog, go to your blog layout page>Add a Gadget>HTML/JavaScript and post the HTML link from your photobucket slideshow

If you don't want the annoying tabs that appear at the bottom of your slideshow, all you have to do is cut that HTML off. I have done an example below, so you can see. Your HTML should not have any spaces, I just did it to show you. DON'T cut off the yellow, cut off everything with the red and hit SAVE, blogger will automatically fix the HTML and your slideshow will still work :)

<div style="width:480px; text-align: center;"><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://w1226.photobucket.com/pbwidget.swf?pbwurl=http%3A%2F %2Fw1226.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fee406%2FxJessicaraex%2Fb3cbc14f.pbw" height="360" width="480"> <a href="http://photobucket.com/slideshows" target="_blank">   <img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/slideshows/btn.gif" style="float:left;border-width: 0;" > </a><a href="http://s1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee406/xJessicaraex/?action=view&amp;current=b3cbc14f.pbw" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/slideshows/btn_viewallimages.gif" style="float:left;border-width: 0;" ></a></div>
