What It's About!

Calla Tor has always known her destiny: After graduating from the Mountain School, she'll be the mate of sexy alpha wolf Ren Laroche and fight with him, side by side, ruling their pack and guarding sacred sites for the Keepers. But when she violates her masters' laws by saving a beautiful human boy out for a hike, Calla begins to question her fate, her existence, and the very essence of the world she has known. By following her heart, she might lose everything- including her own life. Is forbidden love worth the ultimate sacrifice?

Review:

At first I wasn't sure about reading this book, since it' all about werewolves, and it's always the same thing. Well not in this case! Andrea Cremer took the idea of werewolves and seemed to turn it into a whole new outtake of the meaning 'werewolf'. I absolutely LOVE this series so far! Calla has always been told her history and the way things have always been, and that's just how things are. Until Shay, a human boy, comes along and changes everything. Calla has known from a young age she was meant to marry Ren, the other Alpha, in which to create a new pack set by the keepers. Yet the more time Calla spends with Shay, the less likely it seems that this is even going to happen. Is anything from her past even true? Is this really how things are meant to be, or is Shay right? Calla sort of starts going through a transition throughout this book, trying to find herself and tries to see who she can really trust and who she can't. I was very surprised at how good this book really was, especially about halfway through when everything seems to pick up. It's totally worth the read! The next book in this series, is 'Wolfsbane', which just came out this month. I still have yet to read it!
