Fallen Review

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥

Some Angels are Destined to Fall
There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.

This series drew me in instantly. First I had noticed the cover and decided to see what it was about, and I ended up buying it. It's really slow throughout the whole book, until the last 2 or 3 chapters, then it gets really good...and ends. Total cliffhanger!! I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish it, since it didn't start out as interesting as the description made it seem to be, but at the end it was. After reading the end I seriously couldn't wait to get the second book! It starts out pretty normal, girl moves, starts a different school, girl sees boy, boy ignores girl, and so on. But then things get not-so-normal and Luce goes through this whole roller coaster and she starts to find out the secrets of her past.
